Submission Guidelines

At Project Memoir, we’re thrilled to hear your stories. To ensure the best experience for all contributors, please review our guidelines before submitting your memoir:

What We’re Looking For

  • Format: Memoirs of up to 650 words that focus on personal experiences, reflections, or insights.

  • Theme: Stories can explore any theme but should be authentic and meaningful.

  • Audience: Submissions should be suitable for a general audience. Avoid graphic or offensive content.

How to Submit

  1. Word Count: Keep your submission within 650 words. Longer submissions may not be reviewed.

  2. Originality: We only accept original work. Do not submit work written by or significantly generated by AI.

  3. Language: Submissions must be in English or include an English translation.

Review Process

  • Editors review submissions on a rolling basis. We also periodically host contests with set deadlines, offering cash or gift card prizes.

  • Selected memoirs will be:

    • Published in our annual memoir anthology (to be released in August 2025).

    • Featured on our website blog.

  • We reserve the right to decline any submission that does not meet our guidelines.

Submission Rights

  • By submitting your memoir, you grant Project Memoir the right to publish your story online and in print.

  • You retain ownership of your work. If published elsewhere, we kindly request acknowledgment of first publication with us.

Additional Notes

  • We do not provide monetary compensation for submissions at this time.

  • Feedback on submissions is not guaranteed due to the volume of entries.

  • If your work is selected, we’ll notify you via email.

We look forward to hearing your story and sharing it with the world!
